City Road Chapel UMC – Mechanical Renovation

Case Study Overview

Project

Major mechanical issues were discovered at City Road Chapel UMC following a basic asbestos abatement/HVAC assessment. Throughout the facility, the cooling and heating equipment did not operate properly to maintain comfortable interior conditions and numerous pipe leaks were found. GHP was tasked with selecting a replacement mechanical system to not only provide a comfortable environment but also not disrupt the church’s activities, particularly in the day care.

Results

Our approach allowed the church to remain open and operable throughout the installation of the new equipment. Decisions were made quickly after determining the source of the problem and agreed upon in a group setting for the benefit of the church. GHP’s choice of contractors and materials resulted in excellent workmanship and cooperation with no complaints in completing a major mechanical project within an occupied building.
